If you are interested in being part of an early stage startup in the restaurant industry, where you will make a meaningful difference to local businesses, this job may be for you.
DineXpert leverages the combined purchasing across many independent restaurants to negotiate better pricing with suppliers and help restaurants save money on food and supplies. Before starting this business, our founder spent ~15 years working in senior business leadership roles in DC/ NYC before stepping off the corporate path and moving back to Utah to join her brother as a co-owner of several local restaurants. After seeing the challenges and slim margins of independent restaurants, she became convinced there had to be a better way. We have a big vision to provide shared services for local restaurants across the US to better compete with larger, national chain restaurants.
We are looking for a business analyst that is an excel whiz, enjoys basic data analysis, is detail-oriented and can work independently. We have a lot of combined work experience and can help train/ mentor someone who is looking to excel and grow quickly in their career. It’s a plus if you have experience working in the restaurant industry or with cooking, but not a requirement. This position is approximately 10 hours a week with flexibility to work around school schedules. There is future potential to increase hours and/or work full-time after graduation, including positions eligible for equity.
A typical day may include: scanning invoices through our OCR reader and exporting to excel, matching products from different providers and calculating cost per ounce/ pound/ item, analyzing a restaurants order guide to estimate savings potential, making sourcing recommendations, researching products, or participating in meetings with restaurants.
To apply for this position, please complete the following information (no need for a cover letter) by form or by emailing wendy (at) dinexpert.com:
1) Your resume or link to your online resume or Linkedin profile.

We help independent restaurants, bars, catering companies, and other food operators buy high-quality local products, while saving money on everything from food to paper goods to linens.
